Need Prayer? Let Us Pray For You, Your Family, Classmate or Friend.

Sometimes the storms of life threaten to destroy our families, children, finances, business, marriages, friendships, health and even our hope for living. It's not promised that people will always understand your storm. Where do you go when no one seems to understand what you're going through? If you are facing hardships, injustice, oppression or depression remember that prayer can change things.

God loves you. When you call upon His name in your time of need He will answer. He promised never to leave or forsake us. He will guide you into ALL TRUTH. His promises include salvation, provision, and protection. His mercies are NEW every morning. He wants to come to your rescue.

He is the great, "I AM" whatever you need Him to be. As you read the following passage of scriptures, feel the warmth of God’s love. Use them as personal contact between you and God. Use them as a prayer. Insert your name when a verse speaks to your heart. Allow God's Word to meet you where you are.

He's willing to fight for you. He's a friend, guide, counselor, confidant, deliverer, healer, restorer, repairer and strong tower. In times of weakness, he becomes your strength. Don't give up on yourself. Don't give up on Him. He loves you. He wants to be there for you more than you can ask, think or imagine.

His Words are life. Speak LIFE to your situation today. Receive HIS WORDS. Those who receive them will find life. But whoever fails to receive harms himself. Allow His Word to be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. Like David the psalmist we too can cry out, “I am severely afflicted; give me life, O LORD, according to your word” (Psalm 119:107). He sees your affliction and wants to give you life.

Has fear gripped your heart?

Psalm 50:15, “Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you shall honor Me.

Isaiah 35:4, “Say to those who are of a fearful heart, “Be strong, do not fear! Here is your God. He will come with vengeance, with terrible recompense. He will come and save you”

Isaiah 41:10-11,

“Do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. Yes, all who are incensed against you shall be ashamed and disgraced; those who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish”.

Isaiah 41:13, “For I the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you. “Do not fear, I will help you”

Have you been betrayed? Nothing hurts as much as a wound from a spouse, loved one or a friend. Real friends stick by you in times of trouble, bringing healing, love and understanding. Remember that God is a faithful friend that sticks closer than a brother.

Psalm 55:12-13, “It is not enemies who taunt me- I could bear that; it is not adversaries who deal insolently with me- I could hide from them. But it is you, my equal, my companion, my familiar friend.

Facing a giant? At times you may find yourself in what seems to be a losing battle. God promises to deliver you unharmed. Pour out your heart before Him and He will save you.

Psalm 55:16-19, “But I call upon God, and the LORD will save me. Evening and morning and at noon I utter my complaint and moan, and he will hear my voice. He will redeem me unharmed from the battle that I wage, for many are arrayed against me. God who is enthroned from of old, will hear and will humble them because they do not change”

Feeling alone and isolated? There may be times when God may seem far off, but you can be assured that he is aware of every injustice. It is during those times when we feel most alone or oppressed that we must not give up. Continue to pray. Rest in His promises. He knows your troubles. When you pray His Word expect Him to answer. Nothing is hidden from Him. Invite Him to get involved in your situation.

Psalm 10:1-2, Why, O Lord, do you stand far off? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble? In arrogance the wicked persecute the poor- let them be caught in the schemes they have devised.

Psalm 10:10-13, “They stoop they crouch, and the helpless fall by their might. They think in their heart, “God has forgotten he has hidden his face, he will never see it”. Rise O Lord; O God, lift up your hand; do not forget the oppressed. Who do the wicked renounce God and say in their hearts, “You will not call us to account”?

Psalm 10:14-16, “But you do see! Indeed you note trouble and grief, that you may take it into your hands; the helpless commit themselves to you; you have been the helper of the orphan. Break the arm of the wicked and evildoers; seek out their wickedness until you find none. The Lord is king forever and ever; the nations shall perish from his land.

Psalm 10:17-18, “O Lord, you will hear the desire of the meek; you will strengthen their heart, you will incline your ear to do justice for the orphan and the oppressed, so that those from the earth may strike terror no more”.

Psalm 11:4-6, “The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD’s throne is in heaven. His eyes behold, his gaze examines humankind. The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked, and his soul hates the lover of violence. On the wicked he will rain coals of fire and sulfur; a scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup. For the LORD is righteous; he loves righteous deeds; the upright shall behold his face.

Do you need protection? Orphans, widows, prisoners, victims and other lonely people can find hope in God. If you are feeling lonely or disadvantaged, there is joy in discovering who God is. He is always present as protector and provider. Even when you feel alone, he is still by your side.

Psalm 68:5-6,”Father of orphans and protector of widows if God in his holy habitation. God gives the desolate a home to live in; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious live in a parched land.”

Psalm 9:9-12, “The LORD is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in time of trouble. And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you. Sing praises to the LORD, who dwells in Zion. Declare his deeds among the peoples. For he who avenges blood is mindful of them; he does not forget the cry of the afflicted.

Do you question your worth as a person or feel down about yourself? God created you just a little lower than the angels. He considers you highly valuable. You have great worth because you are validated by the Creator. Because He has already declared how valuable you are to Him, you can be set free from feelings of unworthiness.

Psalm 8: 5,9 “Yet you have made them a little lower than God, and crowned them with glory and honor. O LORD, out Sovereign, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Do not fret because of the wicked? Trust in the LORD and wait for Him to act

Psalm 37:5-10, “Commit your way to the LORD, trust in Him and he will act. He will make your vindication shine like the light, and the justice of your cause like the noonday. Be still before the LORD, and wait patiently for him; do not fret over those who prosper in their way, over those who carry out evil devices. Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath. Do not fret- it only leads to evil. For the wicked shall be cut off, but those who wait for the LORD shall inherit the land. Yet in a little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look diligently for their place; they will not be there.

Isaiah 42:14-16, “For a long time I have held my peace, I have kept still and restrained myself; now I will cry out like a woman in labor, I will gasp and pant. I will lay waste mountains and hills and dry up all their herbage; I will turn the rivers into islands, and dry up the pools. I will lead the blind by a road they do not know, by paths they have not known I will guide them. I will turn their darkness before them into light the rough places into level ground. These are the things I will do and I will not forsake them.

Are you in distress? Burdened by guilt? Humble yourself before God. Cry out to Him for forgiveness. He will listen. Take heart. You are not beyond the reach of God’s forgiveness and saving grace.

2 Chronicles 33:12-13 “While he was in distress he entreated the favor of the LORD his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his ancestors. He prayed to him, and God received his entreaty, heard his plea and restored him again to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD indeed was God”
